Enrique Aguilar at the International Congress on Public Works Heritage
The President of the Water Court of the Vega de València, Enrique Aguilar, is participating as a speaker in keynote conference 2 of the II International Congress on Public Works and Civil Engineering Heritage.
From April 7 to 10, the II International Congress on Public Works and Civil Engineering Heritage is taking place. The event on Wednesday, April 8, which was held at the Prince Felipe Museum of the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, featured the participation of the President of the Water Court, Enrique Aguilar. This congress serves as a meeting point for professionals in the sector. Castellón and Alicante are the other cities also hosting the event.

Representing the Water Court of the Vega de Valencia, Enrique Aguilar Valls, President for this biennium, participated as a speaker in keynote conference 2 on the Water Court. The institution was included in UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2009.
Recovering and preserving heritage revitalizes history and culture, attracting tourism and serving as a source of cultural wealth. The Water Court is not only a part of past history, but an institution whose function and value remain alive today.

Following the success of the 1st Congress, which took place in September 2023, the College of Civil Engineers and its Delegation in the Valencian Community are organizing the II International Congress on Public Works and Civil Engineering Heritage with the aim of identifying, promoting, recovering, and enhancing the heritage of public works within its landscape, especially after the DANA event in October 2024.
