Visits to the Tribunal

The Water Tribunal of the Vega of Valencia holds its sessions in a public place; therefore, anyone who wishes to attend may go to the Apostles’ Gate of Valencia Cathedral on Thursdays at 12:00 and witness the hearings live.

There is no need to request a visit or purchase any type of ticket. The session is held regularly every Thursday of the year, except on public holidays, when, in most cases, it is brought forward to the previous Wednesday. *To stay up to date on schedule changes to Thursday sessions due to a public holiday, follow the Water Tribunal’s social media accounts.

Would you like to visit the Water Tribunal, learn about its history, and witness the trial from a privileged location?

If you are part of an institution, school, university, or educational-interest group, you may request a guided tour.

Guided tours are for groups of up to 25 people. If there is availability and a visit can be arranged, the procedure will be as follows:

A representative of the Tribunal will give a talk on the institution’s operation, history, and characteristics. In addition to visiting the Casa Vestuario and the Noble Floor, the tour will allow you to access a privileged location to witness the session at the Apostles’ Gate of the Cathedral. It also includes a “group photo” with the syndics.

If your guided tour has been confirmed by the Secretariat of the Water Tribunal, you should note that: you must arrive at 11:00 at “Casa Vestuario” at Plaza de la Virgen No. 1.

The visit concludes at approximately 12:15, when the hearing ends.

Please remember that, to request a guided tour, you must justify that you represent an institution or organisation of educational/cultural interest. You may request your visit by sending an email to visitas@tribunaldelasaguas.org with the following details:

  • Reason for interest in the visit
  • Number of attendees
  • Preferred date of attendance

We will contact you through that email address to inform you of available dates and additional information.

Thank you!
