The Water Tribunal Receives the “Special Award” at the 7th El Periódico de Aquí Awards Ceremony

On Thursday, April 23, the 7th annual “El Periódico de Aquí” awards ceremony was held in Valencia, recognizing the talent and commitment of various professionals and projects to the Valencian region. The Water Tribunal of the Vega de Valencia was awarded the SPECIAL PRIZE.

More than 300 attendees filled the Ateneo Mercantil de Valencia last Thursday for the seventh edition of the event, which honored fourteen leading figures from the city’s social, economic, and cultural spheres. Among them, the Valencia Water Tribunal—the world’s oldest judicial institution—was honored with a special award for its educational projects and historical legacy.

The award was accepted by José Espinós, trustee of the Quart irrigation canal and custodian of the Water Tribunal during this two-year term.
