Bibliography

On numerous occasions, this ancient Institution, an outstanding jewel of Valencia’s cultural heritage, has been the subject of study by scholars and historians, who have devoted long hours and many pages to it in books and specialist journals, despite the great difficulties involved in research in a field in which there is scarcely any written documentation, given its oral nature (one of the predominant characteristics of the Tribunal de las Aguas’ operation).

Nevertheless, it is only right to highlight in this bibliographic appendix the work carried out by researchers who devoted a large part of their time—and their lives—to a better understanding of an institution that, even today, every Thursday draws around it many passers-by, the curious, and tourists.
