The Comunidad de Regantes de la Acequia de Mislata is part of the historic Tribunal de las Aguas de Valencia and has its origins in time immemorial. It is governed by Ordinances approved by the Royal and Supreme Council of Castile, dated June 30, 1751 in Madrid. <\/p>\n\n
The reforms introduced over time have been punctual and have focused mainly on updating the table of fines or “penalties”. The traditional denomination of the different positions has been maintained and it has been clarified that it is not necessary to belong to the old estates or arms -nobiliary or ecclesiastical- to exercise them. The General Meeting is held every two years and each member has one vote. <\/p>\n\n
The Fundaci\u00f3n S\u00e9quia de Mislata has recently been set up with the aim of defending the huerta and promoting the conservation of spaces linked to this historical system, such as the section and surroundings of the Mislata irrigation ditch in Quart de Poblet, declared an Asset of Cultural Interest by the Generalitat Valenciana.<\/p>\n\n
